Lavinia D. Osbourne is a trailblazing woman in the blockchain space and a powerful advocate for racial equality and gender diversity in technology. As the Founder of Women in Blockchain Talks, she leads one of the most inclusive and impactful platforms in the blockchain community, working tirelessly to close the gender gap and empower marginalised voices. Drawing deeply from her own lived experiences as a woman of colour navigating both corporate and tech ecosystems, Lavinia brings authenticity and urgency to her advocacy. Lavinia’s journey into the blockchain world was built upon a diverse and purposeful career path. Starting in 2000 at Citigroup as a Client Representative, she gained early insight into financial systems and client relations. Her trajectory evolved through roles such as Marketing Coordinator at the Recruitment & Employment Confederation and Executive Assistant at Ernst & Young, before pivoting towards entrepreneurship and leadership in wealth creation and women’s empowerment. In 2014, she co-founded Infinitely Wealthy Women, followed by her directorship at Butterfly Wealth Creation, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to financial literacy and empowerment. This foundation naturally led her into blockchain, culminating in the launch of Women in Blockchain Talks in 2019—now a recognised platform for global inclusion in tech.
Lavinia’s contributions have earned her numerous accolades and positions of influence. In 2021 alone, she was named on LinkedIn’s Top Voices in Technology & Innovation, honoured in the Women in Tech 100, and featured on Wirex’s Rising Women in Crypto Power List. She also founded the Crypto Kweens NFT Marketplace, a space celebrating and supporting diverse creatives in Web3. More recently, she has held ambassador and contributor roles with Huckletree, AllBright, and investHER UK, and is currently a member of 100 Women in Finance, reflecting her growing impact across both tech and finance.
