Milimo Banji is a passionate racial equality advocate and sought-after speaker, known for blending innovation with lived experience to drive inclusive change. He is the Founder and CEO of TapIn, a social media agency dedicated to helping employers connect with and understand diverse talent, particularly from Gen Z and Gen Alpha. His work is rooted in his own experiences navigating predominantly white academic and professional spaces as a Black British man, fuelling his commitment to racial equity in the workplace. Milimo’s speaking topics include Attracting, Engaging, and Retaining Gen Z Talent; Diverse Talent Attraction; Influencer Talent Attraction; Gen Z/Gen Alpha and the Future of Work; Social Media Talent Attraction and Sourcing; and Hiring Ethnically Diverse Talent. His talks bridge the generational gap between employers and the next wave of diverse talent entering the workforce.

Milimo’s journey began with a foundation in engineering; he graduated from The University of Manchester in 2018 with an MEng in Aerospace Engineering. While studying, he became acutely aware of the lack of representation and the barriers faced by underrepresented students. This awareness evolved into action. At the age of just 21, he launched TapIn in 2019, recognising the urgent need for a platform that merges marketing expertise with a deep understanding of Gen Z culture and values, particularly around equity and identity. Through this venture, he has helped organisations rethink how they approach talent attraction and employer branding in a digital age.

Since founding TapIn, Milimo has gained international recognition. In 2024, he spoke at both the Rothschild Responsible 100 Forum in London and the Global Labour Market Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2023, he was a featured speaker at several high-profile events including Richard Branson’s Future of Work: Gen Z Talent event on Necker Island, The Economist’s Business Innovation Summit in London, and Black History Month celebrations hosted by Chelsea Football Club and Fulham Football Club. He also addressed the UK Home Office’s Annual Police & Law Enforcement Conference in Nottingham. Earlier, in 2022, he presented at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, one of the world’s leading tech conferences.

Milimo is frequently hired because of his authentic perspective, proven expertise, and fresh approach to workforce transformation. His speaking topics not only address how to engage emerging generations but also confront systemic inequalities in hiring practices. Whether discussing influencer-driven talent strategies or the future of work, Milimo centres racial equality as a key driver of innovation and business success. His talks empower organisations to not just talk about diversity, but to build truly inclusive cultures that reflect the realities of the modern workforce.
