Buki Mosaku is an internationally renowned bias navigation expert, speaker, and author, dedicated to transforming the way organisations and individuals navigate workplace bias and racial inequality. He is the founder of RosAcad, an international business and sales training consultancy, and DiverseCity Think Tank, a collective of experts in workplace bias and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). What motivates Buki is a deep commitment to levelling the playing field in the workplace, particularly for those who are underrepresented or misunderstood due to unconscious bias. Buki began his career in international business development and sales, working his way up in a highly competitive environment. His personal experiences as a Black professional frequently exposed him to unconscious bias and microaggressions, shaping his understanding of the systemic barriers faced by underrepresented groups. In 2010, he founded RosAcad, offering tailored training programmes that improved business and sales outcomes for clients across various industries. Over time, Buki recognised a growing need for organisations to address issues of bias and inequality more directly. This led him to establish DiverseCity Think Tank in 2019, where he brought together a team of specialists dedicated to delivering solutions that promote equity and inclusion in the workplace.
In recent years, Buki has developed innovative tools and methodologies that have made him a sought-after figure in the DEI space. In 2020, he introduced the IDU (I Don’t Understand) methodology, a unique framework that empowers individuals to navigate bias without framing themselves as victims or others as perpetrators. His 2023 book I Don’t Understand: Navigating Unconscious Bias in the Workplace has been praised for its practical and empowering approach. Buki’s Bias Navigation Test is now used by leading organisations such as J.P. Morgan, AXA, Kantar, and Sky TV. His 2022 Let’s Stop campaign reached over 15 million people via television and media, and he has appeared in outlets such as BBC, Sky, Daily Mail, and CEOWorld.
