Hadley Gill is a trailblazing racial equality speaker is the former Head of Integrated Protective Security at the National Crime Agency (NCA). With a distinguished 40-year career in law enforcement, Hadley draws deeply on his lived experience as a Black British professional navigating senior roles within national and international security. Hadley’s journey began with his appointment as Assistant Chief Investigation Officer at Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs in 2004, where he led a team of 175 and honed his leadership in complex investigations. His passion for justice extended into public service when he became a Magistrate at the East Herts Bench, appointed by the Lord Chancellor. His international credentials were solidified as National Coordinator for the Economic Crime Portfolio with the Australian Federal Police. He then joined the NCA, becoming its first Black law enforcement diplomat as Senior Manager and Deputy Head of Middle East & Asia Region, before going on to manage the UK’s policing efforts in Afghanistan. These roles laid a firm foundation for his rise to senior leadership within the NCA.

In recent years, Hadley has been recognised not only for his operational excellence but for his profound impact on equality and inclusion. As Chair of the NCA Ethnic Minorities Network, he has championed systemic change and representation. His accolades include the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal, NCA Long Service and Exemplary Conduct Medal, Civilian Service Medal for his deployment in Afghanistan, and an OBE in the 2023 King’s New Year Honours List — a testament to his lifelong dedication to service and justice.
