Hugh’s broadcasting journey began in 2010 as a Broadcast Assistant at BBC Radio 5Live, quickly rising through the ranks due to his sharp editorial instincts and natural presenting talent. He gained early experience on high-profile productions like Sportsweek, the 2012 London Olympics, and Test Match Special. After completing a master’s degree in Sports Journalism at St Mary’s University, he went on to appear regularly on BBC News and BBC Two’s Victoria Derbyshire Show, covering everything from Wimbledon to the Champions League and the Ashes. This grounding in both sport and current affairs helped shape Hugh into the well-rounded and informed presenter he is today.
In recent years, Hugh has fronted some of the UK’s most prominent sports programming. He was the host of talkSPORT’s prime-time Kick Off show and currently presents ITV’s EFL Highlights Show.
