“It is indeed a great pleasure and honor to write some lines about Professor Jo-Ann Rolle. In my view, she is an outstanding human being, brilliant and a real leader in many areas of social sciences and entrepreneurship. I was lucky to meet her personally at the School of Business at Medgar Evers College. The City University of New York. USA. I was impressed by the quality of her work and the abilities she showed during the Conference. She made all of us to feel at home. I believe that it was a rather unique opportunity to meet her and the team at the School of Business. I have been twice In New York in my life and in this second opportunity, I was lucky to spend some time with Professor Rolle and the nice people attending the Conference.
I am extremely careful to choose the right people at the right time and place and I do believe that Professor Rolle is one of the very best I have ever met in my life. We have done some work together and published some relevant analysis and data about education and entrepreneurship. She is quick, clever and humble. It is well known that the sum of the parts in not equal to the whole, nevertheless Professor Rolle has been contributing to mankind and society for a very long time and she continue to work harder and harder.
I keep in close touch with her and I have never received a negative reply to a request from my side to start a new and fresh project devoted to help people out and make a better world for the generation of people to come. It is not easy to write about a great person, nevertheless I do believe that Professor Rolle will continue to contribute to the real principles and values in which growing societies and economies are based on.”

“I have had the privilege of knowing Dean Rolle for more than 3 years through the International Innovators Initiative by NYCEDC and CUNY, focusing on building the Tech Entrepreneurship Communities for New York City.

Dean Rolle has worked closely with me and my subordinates as our Advisor through various work surrounding Tech areas, such as using machine intelligence in cross-border commerce, or leveraging emerging technology to build sustainable businesses. She is currently advising me on writing a chapter in the Handbook “A Handbook on the Future of Work and Entrepreneurship for the Underserved.”

She fully supported the Career Mentoring program run by one of our ventures in non-profit area for underserved students at Medgar Evers College.

Our respective institutions have worked closely in a spirit of partnership in organising an annual conference in New York – The International Conference on Business & Economic Development (ICBED). Her eye for detail and cogent analysis has been essential in helping ensure that the conference has gone from strength to strength Thanks to her encouragement academics at Medgar Evers College have successfully submitted papers to the International Journal of Business & Economic Development (ICBED), an academic journal published by my Centre. It has been really heartening to see another paper from the same institution submitted and published in a sister journal, the International Journal of Higher Education Management (IJHEM). Dr Rolle has delivered a series of keynote addresses including one at the International Conference on the Restructuring of the Global Economy at Oxford University. We both attended a major academic conference in Bangladesh, and it was a real privilege to see her speak so eloquently about empowerment. Recently we have embarked on an exciting book project, an opportunity to shine a light on an issue that is dear to our respective institutions.
