Mr Fabulous, whose real name is Jay Kamiraz, is a celebrated motivational speaker, presenter, and advocate for racial and LGBTQIA+ equality. He is the founder of the annual music show, LIFEinPINK, supporting the Pink Ribbon Foundation. Drawing from his own lived experiences as a South Asian British queer man, Mr Fabulous channels his journey of overcoming adversity into empowering others through his work. His personal resilience fuels his passionate advocacy, making him a compelling voice on issues of inclusion and equality. Mr Fabulous’ speaking topics include LGBTQIA+ inclusion, “Fitting In”, “Why We Matter”, “Coming Out – My Story”, and his personal narrative “Behind the Glitter Ball – Living Your Life, Your Truth”. He also addresses sustainable fashion, vegan fashion, creating a unique fashion identity, and building a social media presence.

Mr Fabulous’ career began as a commercial gospel choir director in 2004, leading to a flourishing career in music and television. After becoming an ambassador for The King’s Trust in 2010 and being awarded the prestigious Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Award by King Charles III and Pierce Brosnan in 2012, he gained national recognition. His unique brand flourished following a personal rebranding in 2016, where his vibrant, androgynous persona as Mr Fabulous emerged. His appearances as a music expert on BBC One’s All Together Now, directing a 20-piece choir for the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace, and becoming a regular dating guru on BBC Asian Network further cemented his status as a respected figure in both entertainment and advocacy spaces.

In recent years, Mr Fabulous has continued to soar. In 2021, he was honoured with a Global Community Achievers Award for his role as an inspirational public figure and became an ambassador for the Pink Ribbon Foundation. His documentary, Mr Fabulous: Behind the Glitter Ball, and his feature in Men’s Health Magazine tackling queer identity and inclusion showcased his dedication to breaking barriers. Notably, he proudly represented the 80s New Romantic movement as the only South Asian British queer man in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant, marking another historic moment in his career.

When hired as a speaker, Mr Fabulous captivates audiences with his blend of lived experience, charisma, and clear, actionable messages on racial and social equality. His talks such as “Why We Matter” and “Living Your Life, Your Truth” authentically highlight the intersections of race, sexuality, and identity, creating powerful conversations around inclusivity. “We were delighted to have Jay speak at our Summer Conference in Kent. Jay took the time beforehand to really understand our association and its values and his messages on the day were aligned. Jay’s inspiring story captivated our delegates! He made us all cry, laugh and smile.  It really is important for a South Asian LGBT+ speaker to be visible within the Keynote Speakers Industry and to be a role model for others that struggle to be themselves with our own communities. Jay you are such an inspirational talented human being!
