Nell Bhadresha is creative leader and seasoned communications expert whose lived experiences powerfully shape her advocacy. Nell channels her journey of resilience—including her diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer—into impactful public speaking that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her authenticity resonates deeply with audiences, making her a sought-after voice on topics including Female Inspiration, Motivational Speaking, Breast Cancer Awareness, Mental Resilience, Diversity and Inclusion, Race and Ethnic Minority Issues, Emotional Intelligence, International Women’s Day, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Workplace Culture. Her personal journey underpins her powerful presence, connecting her storytelling to systemic inequalities and the need for greater representation, particularly for women and ethnic minorities.
Nell’s career began in marketing and advertising, building her professional foundation at prestigious companies across Europe. Starting as a Marketing Communications Executive at Siemens in Germany in 2005, she moved into agency work, holding roles such as Account Executive at Ogilvy & Mather, Senior Account Manager at DDB UK, and Account Director at Atomic London. She later became Senior Account Director at Grey London, where she led the launch of Hugo Boss’ THE SCENT fragrance, and then joined VICE to drive projects like the VICE x Dove Self-Esteem Initiative and Aviva’s Guide to Finance. Nell’s creative leadership extended globally, including a 2018 campaign for Apple (Middle East), which celebrated cultural identity through the lens of Ramadan and Eid.
Her transition into public speaking was marked by a life-changing breast cancer diagnosis in 2021. This deeply personal experience sparked her advocacy for health equity and representation. She became an Ambassador for Barts Charity, and in 2022, met King Charles and addressed the Lord Mayor of London, with her appearance broadcast on BBC News. In 2023, she released a short documentary about her cancer journey, commissioned by Barts Charity, and later that year inspired over 5,000 attendees at the Royal Albert Hall with her moving story.
Nell is frequently hired for her ability to blend professional expertise with lived experience, speaking compellingly on race, identity, resilience, and inclusion. Her sessions on race and ethnic Minority topics are particularly impactful, highlighting the intersection of gender, health, and racial equity. Whether addressing corporate audiences on Workplace Culture or speaking at public events on Mental Health and Wellbeing, Nell creates space for honest, transformative dialogue. Her voice is both inspirational and vital—making her an outstanding choice for organisations seeking to foster inclusion and authentic change.

“I have had the privilege of working with Nell Bhadresha over the last two years. She is a powerful speaker and advocate for the Barts Charity campaign to raise funds for a new Breast Cancer Centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. She always speaks with passion, conviction and clarity. In July 2023, Nell spoke to more than 5000 people at Royal Albert Hall at the start of a concert to raise funds for the Campaign. There was a massive audience but she was calm, clear and compelling. She also spoke in a very personal and heartfelt way about her experiences. Many people in the audience remarked to me afterwards how moved they were by her words.”
“Nell is a highly effective and fluent public speaker with excellent communication skills. She has spoken at several different forums including at major high-profile events at Mansion House. The feedback I have received about her, and her speeches has been universally positive, and I have no hesitation in strongly recommending her as an effective, engaging, and excellent public speaker.”
