Good Vibes Baking

Sandro Farmhouse is a London-based baker, autism support worker, and passionate advocate for inclusion. Best known as a 2022 finalist on The Great British Bake Off, Sandro has since emerged as a powerful voice in conversations around race, representation, and accessibility. He currently leads Baking on the Spectrum (BOTS), a community-centred initiative that offers baking classes tailored for neurodiverse individuals and their families. As a racial equality speaker, Sandro is driven by lived experience – his journey from refugee to role model underpins a mission to inspire young people from underrepresented backgrounds. His talks often explore the intersection of race and opportunity, the importance of role models in media, and how creativity can drive social change.

Sandro’s story begins in Angola, where he was born before fleeing the civil war with his mother at just two years old. Settling in East London, he faced the challenges of adapting to a new culture while navigating systemic inequality. His early career included work as an autism support worker, where he developed a deep understanding of the need for inclusive spaces -especially for marginalised groups. After the death of his father when he was 21, Sandro turned to baking as a form of therapy. What started as a coping mechanism gradually grew into a passion and a career path. His creative flair and bold flavours began to gain attention, ultimately paving the way to national recognition.

In 2022, Sandro reached the finals of The Great British Bake Off, winning fans with his expressive style, emotional storytelling, and incorporation of Angolan influences. That same year, he launched Baking on the Spectrum, offering accessible online baking sessions for neurodiverse families. By 2023, he secured funding from the Foundation for Future London to scale the project and reach hundreds more families. He published Good Vibes Baking in 2024 and has been featured in The Guardian. He remains in the public eye through television appearances and collaborations, always tying back to his core values of empowerment, visibility, and representation.

Sandro is frequently hired as a speaker for events in education, media, and community engagement. His topics include “Growing Up Black in Britain”, “Food as a Cultural Connector”, and “Representation in Mainstream Media”. With charisma, warmth, and authenticity, Sandro brings personal insight and practical wisdom, making him a sought-after voice for organisations that value inclusion, social change, and diverse leadership.
