Shivani Uberoi

Shivani Uberoi is a British Asian keynote speaker, inclusion expert and cultural change leader whose work centres on building workplaces where people feel a genuine sense of belonging. As a woman of colour navigating male dominated corporate environments, Shivani brings lived experience, warmth and credibility to conversations on race, gender and identity at work. Her approach blends personal storytelling with evidence based insight, helping organisations understand why inclusion matters and how to act on it with confidence and care.

Shivani began her career in finance, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, where she developed strong commercial and leadership foundations. While progressing through senior finance roles, she experienced first hand the barriers faced by ethnically diverse women in corporate spaces. These experiences became the catalyst for a career pivot towards inclusion and equity. In 2012, Shivani joined Sky, where she built the business case for diversity from the ground up. In 2016, she was appointed Head of Women in Leadership at Sky, leading a strategic drive for gender parity across a 26,000 strong workforce. During this time, Shivani founded Women@Sky and Multiculture@Sky, two influential employee networks that created visibility, voice and progression opportunities for underrepresented talent.

Under Shivani’s leadership, Sky was recognised as one of the UK’s most inclusive employers, supported by multiple external awards. She built and scaled communities of more than 7,000 active members, worked closely with executive leadership, and helped embed inclusion into everyday decision making. After nearly a decade at Sky, Shivani retrained as an executive coach, qualifying with a focus on neuroscience and human behaviour. She went on to establish The Wallflower Academy, a social enterprise supporting organisations to create inclusive cultures through storytelling, coaching and masterclasses, while reinvesting profits into charities championing gender and parental equality.

Today, Shivani is a TEDx speaker, author and Inclusion Lead for the England and Wales Cricket Board, advising major organisations across media, sport and the public sector. Her impactful TEDx talk, “Why Fitting In Will Screw You Up,” explores the emotional cost of hiding identity at work and forms the foundation of her forthcoming book ‘Unlocking Authenticity’. A sought after keynote speaker, Shivani works with organisations including Comcast, NBCUniversal, PepsiCo and HMCTS. Her sessions are practical, human and deeply relatable, leaving leaders with clear actions to build allyship, confidence and cultures where people can thrive without compromise.
