Tinea Taylor

Tinea Taylor is a celebrated TV and radio presenter, and a respected racial equality advocate, currently presenting across BBC Radio 1, following a successful tenure at KISS FM. With over a decade in broadcasting, she has established herself as one of the most recognisable voices in UK media. Her lived experiences as a Black British woman have deeply influenced her commitment to advocating for racial equality and social justice. Tinea uses her platform not only to entertain but also to empower, educating audiences through keynotes and panel discussions on topics including mental health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, race, empowerment, fashion, music, dating, fitness, and future building.

Tinea’s journey began at Brunel University London, where she earned a degree in Media Film and Television Studies. Equipped with both academic knowledge and natural charisma, she launched her career in broadcasting, quickly gaining traction through her vibrant presenting style. Her early success at KISS FM, particularly through hosting the Hype Chart, helped solidify her presence in the industry. Over time, she became a trusted voice in music and youth culture, interviewing global icons like Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, and Hugh Jackman — a testament to her versatility and credibility in the entertainment field.
